1 1lb bag of beans

1/2 cup of chopped onions

1 jalapeno

1/2 teaspoon of onion powder

1/2 teaspoon of pepper

1/2 teaspoon of salt

1/2 a package of  bacon sliced into small pieces

10 cups of water

In a bowl go through the beans and get out the bad beans.

(I do NOT soak my beans over night before cooking them)

Now add 10 cups of water and then beans.

Add the seasoning, onions, jalapeno, and bacon.

(I cut the WHOLE jalapeno into small pieces but clean out the inside. I will add a few seeds but since my 10 month old eats these beans I don’t make it HOT!)

Cook on low for 6-8 hours OR high for 4-5 hours.
