4-6 cube steaks
2 cups of all purpose flour
2 tablespoons of cajun seasoning of choice
Splash of milk
5-6 large potatoes
1/2 cup of cheese
Salt/pepper to taste
Mix cajun seasoning and salt/pepper(to your preference) with the flour.
In a separate bowl crack 6 eggs, splash of milk, a dash of cajun seasoning and salt/pepper. Beat all together.
Okay, so you can do this 1 of 2 ways. Keep the steaks whole or cut them in bite size pieces. For me, it was really simple and easier having my steak in bite size pieces.
Place steak in flour and coat will good.
Place steak in egg wash then place back in the flour.
Once your grease is heated up,(I keep mine on medium), place steak in pan. Try not to over crowd.
Cook until juices run clear and is golden brown. Place on some paper towels to absorb excess grease.
**** while the steak is cooking place your potatoes on to cook.. you will be making mash potatoes like you would normally would.
**preheat oven at 350º**
Place chicken fried steak in the bottom of a 13X9 pan.
Make your mash potatoes and then spread them over the steak.
Sprinkle cheese over the top and place in the oven for 20 minutes.
Voila 🙂 it’s so good! The meat was so tender I was able to cut it with a PLASTIC fork. No knife needed.
