Okay so I have experimented SEVERAL times trying to make the Mississippi roast and it NEVER comes out right. Every recipe I found for it did not require a liquid other than butter. So if the recipe worked for you GREAT 🙂 but if not here is my version. You can also use this exact recipe to cook a roast but of course it could take longer. You will just have to keep an eye on it.

1 lrg pkg of stew meat
1 pkg of ranch dressing mix
4-5 pickled banana peppers (remove stem. I always forget and they fall off. Does not taste so great to bite into)
16 oz of beef broth
1 stick of butter
1 pkg of McCormick slow cookers pot roast savory mix
3-4 stems of chopped celery
2-3 handfuls of chopped carrots

In a large pot add meat, seasonings, butter, veggies, and then beef broth. Cover with a lid and turn stove on medium. Occasionally stir. It should take 3-4 hours to cook on medium.
